Deus Ex Machina

This is an unfinished sketch I did while my husband and I were exploring a story idea based on the theatrical concept of deus ex machina.  This shows the female peasant character with the (unfinished) farmer and knight.  The female peasant was the design that was most finished before we decided not to pursue the project for the time being.

Above is an expression sheet I did for the female peasant.  Below are some more character sketches for the peasant girl.  The girl was very clumsy and easily startled and so over the course of the story she got more and more injured.  Here is the progression from normal to wheelchair.
