Landscape Practice #5

The sixth installment of my month of landscapes.  This painting shows one of the sulfuric springs in Yellowstone National Park.

Also, I realize my numbering system is a little confusing so I will explain.   The number in the post title refers to the order and number of the landscape posts.   Since the first post contains three pics this number does not reflect the number of landscapes done.  The number mentioned in the post as the installment refers to the day in my month-long challenge.    Because I did two paintings on day 1 this number does not refer to the total number of paintings.   The number in the pic's name is the actual order of paintings.  Yellowstone is my 7th painting.

Landscape Practice #4

The fifth installment of my month of landscapes.  My first time using the smear tool in Photoshop.

Landscape Practice #3

My fourth installment for my monthly landscape challenge.  Arizona is such a gorgeous state.  Just because it isn't green doesn't mean it isn't beautiful. :)

Landscape Practice #1

I finally got a Cintiq! Yay! I am so excited to be able to work in color again. Up until now have spent most of my efforts on character sketches but I really want to expand my repetoire. So for the next month l am going to attempt to do a quick landscape painting every day. Should be a lot of fun. :)
Here are the first three that I have done. Yay, color!

Shichigoro756 Mimic

This is a mimic I did for practice.  The original painting is by an amazing artist called shichigoro756 on DeviantArt.  Here is a link to the original http://browse.deviantart.com/art/line-2-175676128
I really like his painting. :)  My mimic is done in charcoal pencil.

Women of League of Legends

So a while ago I started doing sketches of the women of League of Legends in the style of Bella Pilar, but with my own style of faces.  Eventually I plan to do all of the human females in this style.  I'm not going to do the Yordles, because the style makes everyone tall and skinny and it wouldn't work well on them.  I also skipped Annie because she is a child and should be short and plump.  Eventually, after I get my cintiq,  I am going to do a color painting of all of them together.  Meanwhile, here are some of my sketches.  Shown above are Ahri, Akali, Ashe, Caitlyn, Casseopeia, Diana, Elise, Evelynn, Fiora, Irelia, and Janna.  My favorite is Akali.
