Landscape Practice #9

Number ten in my month of landscapes.  Kinda ran out of time on this one.

Landscape Practice #8

My ninth installment in my month of landscapes.  On weekends Jake gets first dibs on the computer so most weekends I won't be able to do a landscape.  I will consider my "month" of landscapes to be 30+ paintings.

Landscape Practice #7

My eighth installment in my month of landscapes.  A pic of Sedona, Arizona.

Landscape Practice #6

My seventh installment in my month of landscapes.  Due to technical difficulties I was not able to use the Cintiq yesterday so I didn't do a painting that day.  Jake bought a new graphics card and there were issues.  But it is all fixed now. Yay!

Landscape Practice #5

The sixth installment of my month of landscapes.  This painting shows one of the sulfuric springs in Yellowstone National Park.

Also, I realize my numbering system is a little confusing so I will explain.   The number in the post title refers to the order and number of the landscape posts.   Since the first post contains three pics this number does not reflect the number of landscapes done.  The number mentioned in the post as the installment refers to the day in my month-long challenge.    Because I did two paintings on day 1 this number does not refer to the total number of paintings.   The number in the pic's name is the actual order of paintings.  Yellowstone is my 7th painting.

Landscape Practice #4

The fifth installment of my month of landscapes.  My first time using the smear tool in Photoshop.

Landscape Practice #3

My fourth installment for my monthly landscape challenge.  Arizona is such a gorgeous state.  Just because it isn't green doesn't mean it isn't beautiful. :)

Landscape Practice #1

I finally got a Cintiq! Yay! I am so excited to be able to work in color again. Up until now have spent most of my efforts on character sketches but I really want to expand my repetoire. So for the next month l am going to attempt to do a quick landscape painting every day. Should be a lot of fun. :)
Here are the first three that I have done. Yay, color!

Shichigoro756 Mimic

This is a mimic I did for practice.  The original painting is by an amazing artist called shichigoro756 on DeviantArt.  Here is a link to the original http://browse.deviantart.com/art/line-2-175676128
I really like his painting. :)  My mimic is done in charcoal pencil.

Women of League of Legends

So a while ago I started doing sketches of the women of League of Legends in the style of Bella Pilar, but with my own style of faces.  Eventually I plan to do all of the human females in this style.  I'm not going to do the Yordles, because the style makes everyone tall and skinny and it wouldn't work well on them.  I also skipped Annie because she is a child and should be short and plump.  Eventually, after I get my cintiq,  I am going to do a color painting of all of them together.  Meanwhile, here are some of my sketches.  Shown above are Ahri, Akali, Ashe, Caitlyn, Casseopeia, Diana, Elise, Evelynn, Fiora, Irelia, and Janna.  My favorite is Akali.

Yordle Snap Trap Treat

Caitlyn and Lux are taking a break after making all the cupcakes Caitlin will need in Season 3 for her Yordle Snap Traps.  Hand drawn, colored in Photoshop.  Caitlin and Lux are League of Legends characters.

ANTM Sketches

Here are some sketches I did of the contestants in Cycle 18 of America's Next Top Model.

Deck the Halls LOL Contest

This was my submission for the League of Legends Deck the Halls Contest.  Lux has wandered into one of Teemo's mushroom patches!  She should probably just back there.  Made out of 9 layers of graham crackers, colored and cemented together with icing and chocolate.

Caitlyn in Color

Here is a texture painting of one of my Caitlyn drawings. Done in Photoshop with a mouse.

Jurassic Park Comic

Here is a comic based on one of my favorite films, Jurassic Park.  The images are screen captures from the film with Photoshop filters.

Sketched in mechanical pencil.  Color done in Photoshop.

Iron Kingdoms Mercenary Mage

This is a quick concept art piece I did for my brother-in-law Marc.  He has just created a character for the RPG game Iron Kingdoms and wanted some artwork.  This guy is a Khadorian native but is currently a mercenary working for Cygnar.  He is a mage with high intellect and experience in battle who carries a sword just because he's that cool.

This piece was hand drawn with mechanical pencil, then redrawn with my fingers on the iPad, then colored in with a mouse in Photoshop.  I should be getting a Wacom tablet in the next month or so.  Very exciting.

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile but I got distracted.  Later today I might start posting some of the artwork I've done in the last few weeks since my last post.
