Poses

These are some explorations of poses that are likely to show up in my proposed Senior project.  Hopefully I will be able to start posting some character and location designs in the next few weeks.

BatSquirrel

This is a creature I drew in Public Speaking class and then scanned in and painted in Painter 11.  I really like this animal.  I want to create a world for this creature to live in.

The school's internet blocker is still blocking all of the images on blogspot image servers so I can't see what I'm posting.  Hopefully they will sort that out soon.

Cereal Box

Okay, this should be a picture of my cereal box design for Ballinger's class.  For some reason the university's internet blocker decided to declare war on sketch blogs.  Every one's posts have the images blocked.  So I am posting what I cannot see.  Hopefully it is working.

Creature Continued

Here is a second sketch of the creature I drew yesterday.  Today its looking a little more puppy-ish. :)

Creature

This was a random sketch that I did on the little Bamboo.  I didn't have a plan for this drawing, just started sketching and this is what emerged.  Kind of fun though. :)

Gladiator

This is a really rough preliminary sketch for a gladiator (??)  This was drawn on my laptop with a really small bamboo tablet that I have not used before.  It handles rather differently than the Wacom tablets at Becker.  It's harder to draw with but I will continue to work with it since I can use it at home.  Hopefully we'll see improvement. :)

Yay, headless horseman.  Luckily the horse is leading.

Smurffette

I am going to start attempting to post a drawing a day.  I already typically do at least one drawing a day but not always on the computer.  On days that I can't think of what to draw, I will choose from one of the DrawerGeeks subjects.  There's a lot of them so it should keep me busy for awhile. :)
This is done in Painter with the Oil detail brush and then taken into photoshop for the texture and text.

Robin Hood

A quick sketch of Robin Hood.  This is my first exploration of using the tinting and blending brushes.

Color Script

This is the color script for my team's Junior Project, an animated short about a pair of chameleons.

Woodburn Technique

This is my first attempt with a digital woodcut technique.  Mine ended up looking more like a woodburn. :)
